Jim Wright made me want to become a better person. He inspired me to think about what is important in life – like the closeness between people, may they be strangers or family and friends. I always respected him for the changes he made in his own life and for the greater faith in humanity that shined through him. He never became tired of giving his insight and thoughts when we asked him about career opportunities, life in general or even spiritual issues. His interest in all of us as scholars was real, never fake or superficial. His life and actions are a great inspiration. I miss him so much. Love, Amalie
